EdgeOps

New: The Knowledge Base

v1.3Release Notes

Share knowledge, structured

The headline of v1.3: a knowledge base right inside the portal, in your branding, for your customers.

Books, chapters and articles

Content is organized in books with chapters and articles, in any order you choose, with cover images. Users find guides, policies and site know-how where they expect it.

Multilingual articles

Every article holds all of its language versions in one document. Readers automatically see their language; if a translation is missing, the default language fills in.

An editor with callout boxes

Articles are written in a comfortable editor with formatting, images and file attachments. Callout boxes in three levels (info, warning, critical) highlight what matters.

More about the Knowledge Base

Publishing and visibility

Draft and publish on every level

Books, chapters and articles each have their own draft and publish state. An article only becomes visible once all three levels are published.

Scheduled publishing

Set a publish date and the content goes live automatically at the scheduled time.

Targeted visibility

Control per book, chapter or article who sees the content: all users, selected customers or specific roles.

Documentation included

Product documentation in the portal

The EdgePortal documentation ships as books inside the knowledge base and automatically stays in step with your installation. Articles about modules you have not enabled are hidden.

Everything via the API

Like everything in EdgePortal, the knowledge base can be fully read and managed via the REST API, down to a fully rendered article in the language you need.
